Feminine and Bohemian for Summer
Posted on 18 January 2015
After attending Intermezzo, which is one of the New York clothing shows, everyone asks me, "What trends do you see coming this Summer?"
It is interesting, because being in the Midwest, I have to be a little bit cautious about some of the trends and others I just run with them because they are too fun not to!
This market, I will have to say, had a lot of bohemian, gypsy vibe for summer with embroidered tops, tasseled beaded long necklaces, peasant type dresses, laser cut purses, gaucho and jogger style pants. (I have had these black Idalia Genie pants by Emu Australia in the store forever and they are on SALE! See pic below.) Rachel looks spot on in this picture taken months back at the Beiger Mansion Inn. The darling jacket she is wearing is another great Sale item by Hoss Intropia.
When I left for New York, my mission was to find very feminine pieces for Summer. We found beautiful floral dresses by designers Nicole Miller, amazing jewelry from Love Heals and hila. and soft simple tops from Bella Dahl and bohemian styles by Muche et Muchette.
I want to share with you two of our favorite finds while we were there. First, was a market on 11th and 42nd St. called Sunac Natural Food Market. It was seriously the freshest, most appetizing organic market I have ever been to. Mounds of gorgeous fresh healthy choices of salads and fruits and other selections. Very clean and well displayed produce of any market of that size. I highly recommend it, if you are near the Javits Convention Center in New York.
Secondly, a customer of ours recommended a tiny French bistro restaurant in the West Village to us call Buvette. It is so adorable and delicious. Tapas style bistro that is perfect for having dinner with your friends or a intimate date night out. We loved it!
We will be starting up our photo sessions very soon....stay tuned!!!
I hope that I inspired you!
